Geographic Information System
Data Base DevelopmentEMI offers extensive expertise in the design, data collection, development and implementation of ARCINFO based geographic information systems. We focus on the integration of disparate data sources, development of appropriate metadata and standards, and the integration of aerial photography and remote sensing products to assist the manager and scientist in their research and program efforts. GIS based projects have included:
- Colorado River Basin – dams, reservoirs, ESA concerns, and transbasin diversions
- Cutthroat Trout distribution in the State of Colorado
- Glen Canyon – Lake Powell reservoir, side canyons, ESA issues, and historic habitats for species of concern.
- Vegetation, reptile, amphibian and mammal migration studies.
