Glen Canyon Institute - GCI

Staff of EMI are part of a dedicated Board of Trustees restoring a healthy Colorado River system and turning Glen Canyon National Recreation Area into a National Park.

Friends of the Animas River River Keepers – FOAR

Founded in 1993 by EMI’s Nancy Jacques, Friends of the Animas River works to ensure a healthy Animas River. In September 2005, FOAR was awarded the distinction of becoming a River Keeper.

La Plata County Animal Damage Advisory Committee

Dave Wegner has served La Plata County for two years as a member of the committee advising the county on species management.

City of Durango Animas River Task Force

Dave Wegner has served on this task force for four years representing the conservation community issues related to the Animas River.

Good Dirt Radio

Nancy is one of the founding board members of Good Dirt Radio, which reports inspiring stories about people helping to solve environmental challenges affecting life on Earth. Good Dirt is heard on radio stations throughout the West and online at www.gooddirtradio.org.

Nancy also serves on La Plata County Senior Programs Advisory Committee and is a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
